I just watched the first exchange between Sen. Boxer and Ms. Rice. I was struck by how much Sen. Boxer's demeanor and tactics resembled some that I have seen on film. I refer to footage showing Sen. Joe McCarthy railing against the State Department back in the early 1950s.
