Update to Kerry Was A Naval Officer

Re: Kerry Was A Naval Officer Until 1978.
Emperor Misha clarifies the UCMJ treatment of Kerry's meeting with the North Vietnamese in Paris. Excerpt (emphasis is Misha's):
ART. 104. AIDING THE ENEMY

Any person who--

(1) aids, or attempts to aid, the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or

(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or protects or gives intelligence to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly;

shall suffer death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.
I'm still not sure whether the UCMJ would apply to a member of the inactive reserve who is not actively engaged in military duties, though. (Intuitively, it should, as a reservist is still bound by his oath, and is subject to activation at any time.)

That aside, Emperor Misha gives a righteous rant on Kerry and his Vietnam er, heroics. Read the whole thing.
